A Feast for the Senses Watching Over Galata Tower
Start your day with a slow morning and an unforgettable view. Breakfast is served at our sister hotel, Root Karaköy, just a few steps away on a rooftop terrace overlooking the iconic Galata Tower and the winding rooftops of the old city.
Between 7:30 and 11:00 AM, enjoy a generous spread of freshly baked pastries, local cheeses, olives, seasonal jams, farm-fresh eggs, tomatoes and cucumbers drizzled with olive oil, and flaky börek straight from the oven. You’ll also find simit, a sesame-crusted Turkish classic that’s something like a bagel but lighter, crunchier, and perfect for dipping into feta or spreading with jam. And of course, menemen, the beloved Turkish egg dish with tomatoes and peppers, makes a star appearance. Turkish breakfast is not just about food it’s a ritual of variety, abundance, and sharing.
As you sip your tea or coffee, watch the sun cast golden light over one of Istanbul’s most storied landmarks. Whether you’re fueling up for a day of exploring or lingering a little longer with a view, this breakfast isn’t just a meal it’s a moment.
